Unshine is a gothic metal band from Helsinki, Finland.
Unshine born in May 2000, when Susanna Vesilahti visiting band practice for the first time. Other members, who knew each other for a few years from another project, described that as "a sort of musical revival. " At that time the band practice in the basement at Manala restaurant in Helsinki.
In the following years is filled with exercises and writing. In early 2002 his ownproduction Unshine their first demo called "Promo 2002", in which they publish threesongs. In the next summer they had their first public concert, followed by their seconddemo, "Promo 2003".
Earth Magick Their debut album was recorded at 2004 by Low Frequency Records.One year later released in Finland and North America by Crash Music and receivedgood reviews from all over the world. Unshine second album, The Enigma of theGods, was released in April 2008 ..
In a review of their music is often described as gothic metal athomspheric, althoughthey categorize themselves as druids metal. They aim to have a lasting and uniqueatmosphere in their songs. The songs often refer to forget our interdependence with the primordial forces of nature and contain a lot of offensive mythology and folklore.
